Security
To grant Blanket authority to a user in the same Teraview account as yourself:
- From the toolbar icons at the top of the screen, select the Administration icon
.
The Administration pane opens.
- Select User Authorityfrom the Administration Pane.
The User Authority window opens.
- Use the correct checkboxes to select the users whose status you would like to change.
- Select the Update Access button.
A confirmation message appears.
- Select OK or the green X
to close.
Note: Instrument Administrators can grant access to any instrument to any member of the account. All other users can grant access only to their own Instruments.
Note: Only Instruments created after you have granted authority can be shared through this function. In order to grant authority to an Instrument created before blanket authority granted through the User Authority feature, you must grant authorization using the Messages function.
- From the toolbar icons at the top of the screen, select the Administration icon
.
The Administration pane opens.
- In the Security section, select Change Password.
The Change Password window opens.
- In the Current Password field, enter your current password.
- In the New Password field, enter your new password.
- In the Confirm New Password field, enter the new password again.
- Select the Change button.
A confirmation window appears, indicating that your password has been successfully changed.
- Select OK.
This will be the password you will use the next time you log in.
